Wilmington police reports

WILMINGTON — The following report is generated from reports provided by the Wilmington Police Department. All those arrested are presumed innocent until possibly proven guilty in court. Incidents are presumed to be under investigation. Charges may be dropped or changed in court.

Wilmington police recently processed the following reports:

• At 6:37 p.m. on July 5, a 44-year-old Bethel female reported that her son’s Xbox was stolen. According to the report, the theft occurred at a motel on State Route 22/3.

• Police responded to an alleged overdose at the 300 block of East Locust Street at 10:48 p.m. on July 5. According to the report, police found a 24-year-old female unresponsive in the passenger seat of a vehicle. The driver, a 33-year-old female, stated the victim was dropped off at her house, she could tell she was under the influence and tried to get her to a relative’s house. She stated that when they were halfway there the victim was unresponsive. The victim was transported to Clinton Memorial Hospital. Authorities spoke with the victim who advised she “snorted two pain pills” and consumed three Xanax tablets.

• At 12:56 a.m. on July 7, a 20-year-old Hillsboro male reported that his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend, a 33-year-old Wilmington male, had been allegedly threatening him.

• At 5:32 a.m. on July 7, a 60-year-old male reported that an unknown suspect stole his bike, a black GMC 24-series. The report lists that it was stolen from the victim’s residence at the 300 block of East Locust Street.

• At 9:02 a.m. on July 7, a business on North South Street reported that a 44-year-old male was allegedly menacing/stalking a 22-year-old employee. The complaint is currently under investigation.

• At 9:44 a.m. on July 7, police received a theft report from that occurred on the 1300 block of the West Truesdell Street. The report lists a camo backpack, a hunting knife, a Polaris 10×42 binoculars, a Brown Aeropostale shoulder bag, personal documents, and a Lenovo L540 laptop as stolen.

• At 12:44 a.m. on July 8, a 33-year-old female reported to police that someone entered her vehicle took several items. The incident took place at the 100 block of High Street and $50 worth of “other property type” were stolen.

• Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Westwynd Circle at 1:21 a.m. on July 8 on a suspicious vehicle report. According to the report, authorities seized “drug equipment” and “marijuana in a pill bottle.” A 48-year-old male was cited for marijuana possession.

• At 7:26 p.m. on July 8, a store on Progress Way reported a shoplifting. The report lists a 19-year-old Wilmington female as a suspect.

• At 9:11 a.m. on July 9, a 49-year-old male reported that several items were stolen from his residence at the 200 block of East Locust Street. The report lists a generator, a leaf blower, and two weed cutters were stolen from his garage. According to the report, an available video showed subject carrying off the items. An investigation is ongoing to identify the suspects involved.

Wilmington police also recently charged the following people:

• Christopher Jones, 18, of Leesburg, was charged with alleged marijuana possession, driving while under the influence, and a tail light violation.

• Sidni Cain, 21, of Sabina, was charged with alleged theft.

• Ciara Cain, 20, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged theft.

• Regan Carnahan, 38, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged theft.

• Beronica Schmitz, 20, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged drug equipment violations.
