Municipal Court dispositions: Weapons, driving mean jail for two

WILMINGTON — The following report is compiled using a disposition report provided by Clinton County Municipal Court. The information includes the defendant’s name, age, residence if listed, charge(s) disposed, fine, court costs assessed, jail sentence and any special conditions. Municipal Judge Mike Daugherty oversees the court, which administers the law in criminal misdemeanor cases.

The following pled guilty or were found guilty between July 10 and July 14:

• Jordan Rich, 26, of Waynesville, assault, no operator’s license, improperly handing firearms in a motor vehicle, sentenced to 180 days in jail (165 suspended), fined $1,125, assessed $375 court costs. The assault charge was amended from a domestic violence charge. The no operator’s license charge was amended from a driving under suspension charge. The firearm was forfeited to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office for disposition according to law with magazine and ammo. Rich must take part in supervised probation. If compliant, the court will suspend $500 of fine. A fictitious registration violation, a marijuana possession charge, and a turn signal violation were dismissed.

• Robin King, 47, of Port William, improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle, O.V.I., sentenced to 360 days in jail (180 days suspended), operator’s license suspended from July 14, 2017 to July 17, 2018, fined $1,265, assessed $250 court costs. King must take part in supervised probation and a three-day nonresidential driver intervention program. If compliant, the court will suspend $375 of fine. Operator’s license ordered destroyed. ALS vacated. King may file for driving privileges on July 29, 2017. The firearm to be forfeited to Ohio Department of Natural Resources for disposition in accordance with the law. CCW permit held by the court. A O.V.I.- high test charge was dismissed.

• Josef Walton, 36, of Gahanna, having physical control of vehicle while under the influence, sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended), operator’s license suspended from July 11, 2017 to Oct. 11, 2017, fined $1,000, assessed $125 court costs. Jail time suspended on the condition that Walton completes a three-day non-residential driver intervention program. ALS vacated. If compliant, the court will suspend $250 of fine. The charge was amended from an O.V.I. charge. An additional O.V.I. charge and a speeding 85 in a 70 mph speed zone charge was dismissed.

• Crystal Lewis, 29, of Wilmington, driving under suspension-failing to appear/pay fine, driving under suspension-financial, sentenced to 60 days in jail (suspended), fined $250, assessed $250 court costs. The charge was amended from an O.V.I.-suspension charge. A fictitious registration violation, a registration violation, and a driving under suspension-failing to reinstate charge were dismissed.

• Timothy Harshbarger, Jr., 33, of Kettering, criminal damages, sentenced to 10 days in jail (suspended), fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. Harshbarger must pay $1,402.61 in restitution to the victim, must have no contact with them and write a letter of apology. Harshbarger must take part in nonreporting probation for one year.

• Steve Marvin, 25, of Clarksville, disorderly conduct, sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended), fined $250, assessed $125 court costs. The charge was amended from an obstruction of official business charge. Marvin must write a letter of apology to the victim and complete eight hours of community service.

• Dazay Raseab Murarescu, 20, of Wilmington, failing to disclose personal information, sentenced to three days in jail (suspended), assessed $125 court costs. Murarescu must write a letter of apology to the officer and complete eight hours of community service.

• Thomas Newman, 20, of Blanchester, reckless operation, sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended), fined $500, assessed $125 court costs. The charge was amended from an O.V.I. charge. Newman must complete two years of non-reporting probation and must have no alcohol or drugs of abuse. If compliant, the court will suspend $250 of fine. ALS vacated. A marijuana possession charge and a prohibited turn violation were dismissed.

• Colton Brown, 22, of Leesburg, reckless operation, sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended), fined $250, assessed $125 court costs. The charge was amended from an O.V.I. charge. Jail time was suspended on condition that Brown complete a three-day non-residential driver intervention program and commit no further offenses and take part in unsupervised probation for two years. Brown must have no alcohol or drugs of abuse. ALS vacated. An additional O.V.I charge and a prohibited turn violation was dismissed.

• Kirk Hershberger, 60, of Cincinnati, marijuana possession, drug paraphernalia, fined $200, assessed $250 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Sydney Crain, 19, of Carlisle, drug paraphernalia, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Kristina Snider, 40, of Blanchester, drug instrument possession, marijuana, sentenced to 90 days in jail (suspended), fined $450, assessed $125 court costs. Snider must not take part in drug use for two years.

• Kristin Houser, 31, of Blanchester, drug instrument possession, sentenced to 90 days in jail, fined $750, assessed $125 court costs.

• Preston Martin, 43, of Wilmington, disorderly conduct, fined $65, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Jazlyn Jones, 19, of Martinsville, obstructing official business, sentenced to three days in jail (suspended), assessed $125 court costs. Jones must write a letter of apology to the officer and complete eight hours of community service.

• Blake Wingham, 19, of Madison, going 111 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Kevin Parkins, 23, of Fairfield, going 90 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Lindsey Leathley, 31, of Wilmington, child endangerment, disorderly conduct, sentenced to 10 days in jail (suspended), fined $25, assessed $250 court costs. Two other child endangerment charges were dismissed.

• Donna Simpson, 30, of Frankford, open container of alcohol, drug paraphernalia, fined $60, assessed $250 court costs.

• Sidney Ford, 22, of Washington Court House, fined $50, assessed $125 court costs.

• James Hubbard, Jr., 36, of Sabina, obstruction of official business, sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended), assessed $125 court costs. Hubbard should commit no other violations in 2017 and have no contact with the victims.

• Robert Moreton II, 32, of Sabina, marijuana possession, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. Contraband to be forfeited for destruction.

• Kaitlyn Dunseith, 20, of Seaman, drug paraphernalia, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. Contraband to be forfeited for destruction.

• Michael Greer, 50, of Wilmington, open container of alcohol, fined $25, assessed $125 court costs.

• Riley Griffin, 41, of Knoxville, reckless operation, fined $30, assessed $125 court costs. The charge was amended from a driving 71 in a 55 mph speed zone charge.

• Layne Hall, 21, of going 97 in a 55 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs.

• Jeffrey Drake, 29, of Blanchester, disorderly conduct, assessed $125 court costs. The charge was amended from a domestic violence charge.

• Danielle Sirkin, 25, of Clarksville, two counts of drug paraphernalia, sentenced to 60 days in jail (suspended), assessed $250 court costs. Sirkin must take part in supervised probation and forfeit contraband for destruction.

• Howard Wagner, 55, of Peebles, O.V.I., sentenced to three days in jail, operator’s license suspended from July 21, 2017 to July 21, 2018, fined $375, assessed $125 court costs. ALS vacated. Driving privileges granted effective Aug. 7, 2017.

• Charles Gray, 29, of Blanchester, drug instrument possession, sentenced to 90 days in jail (suspended), fined $750, assessed $125 court costs. Gray must take part in supervised probation. If compliant, the court will suspend $500 of fine.

• Ian Ziegler, 64, of Cuba, having physical control of vehicle while under the influence, sentenced to 60 days in jail (suspended), fined $500, assessed $125 court costs. The charge was amended from an O.V.I. charge. Ziegler must take part in non-reporting probation for two years. ALS vacated. An additional O.V.I. charge and a failure to control charge were dismissed.

• Mikeesha Wallace, 19, of Columbus, going 98 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Markym Suggs, 19, of Louisville, drug paraphernalia, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Aaron Brandon, 47, of Wilmington, marijuana possession, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.
