Clinton County Municipal Court: Drug-related charges top sentences

WILMINGTON — The following report is compiled using a disposition report provided by Clinton County Municipal Court. The information includes the defendant’s name, age, residence if listed, charge(s) disposed, fine, court costs assessed, jail sentence and any special conditions. Municipal Judge Mike Daugherty oversees the court, which administers the law in criminal misdemeanor cases.

The following pled guilty or were found guilty between July 31 and August 4:

• Nichole Bush, 23, of Midland, drug paraphernalia, sentenced to 30 days in jail (22 days suspended), fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. Bush must take part in supervised probation. Contraband ordered destroyed. A marijuana possession charge was dismissed.

• Joy Curtis, 48, of Wilmington, domestic violence, sentenced to three days in jail (suspended), assessed $125 court costs. Jail time suspended on condition of no further offenses and no consumption of alcohol or drugs this year. An assault charge was dismissed.

• Allen Mobley, 24, of Sabina, attempting to commit an offense, sentenced to 10 days in jail (suspended), fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. The charge was amended from a permitting drug abuse charge. A drug abuse instruments possession charge and drug permitting drug abuse charge was dismissed.

• Brian Applegate, 38, of Sabina, drug instrument possession, sentenced to 180 days in jail (138 days suspended), fined $1,000, assessed $125 court costs. Applegate must take part in supervised probation.

• Joseph Hiles, 39, of Sabina, permitting drug abuse, sentenced to 180 days in jail (suspended), fined $1,000, assessed $125 court costs. Hiles must take part in supervised probation. If compliant, the court will suspend $500 of fine. A drug instrument possession charge was dismissed.

• Thomas Ward, 28, of Sabina, drug instrument possession, obstructing official business, sentenced to 270 days in jail, fined $1,000, assessed $250 court costs. Ward is to be assessed for treatment. A theft charge was dismissed.

• Jodi Tompkins, 23, of Leesburg, drug abuse instrument possession, obstructing official business, sentenced to 270 days in jail, fined $1,000, assessed $250 court costs. Probation to assess for residential rehab and Vivitrol. A drug paraphernalia charge and an unauthorized use of motor vehicle charge were dismissed.

• Kyle Lindsey, 21, of Clarksville, drug possession, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs.

• Albert Holbert II, 39, of Wilmington, drug possession, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs.

• Logan Huston, 18, of New Vienna, drug paraphernalia, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs.

• Dalton McCall, 25, of Waynesville, drug possession, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Codie Taylor, 22, of Wilmington, driving under suspension-failing to reinstate, driving under suspension-failing to appear/pay fine, fined $250, assessed $250 court costs. Additional charges of starting/backing violation, driving under suspension-failing to reinstate, turn signal violation, and prohibited turn violation were dismissed.

• Christopher Alexander, 31, of Wilmington, drug abuse instrument possession, sentenced to 90 days in jail (81 days suspended), fined $500, assessed $125 court costs. Alexander will have to take part in supervised probation. If compliant, the court will suspend $250 of fine.

• Anthony Martin, 52, theft, sentenced to 180 days in jail, fined $250, assessed $125 court costs. Martin must pay restitution of $4.48 to the victim and have no contact with them, commit no similar offenses and be monitored by non-reporting probation. Additional charges of drug paraphernalia, having an open container of alcohol and disorderly conduct were dismissed.

• Russell Stone, 28, of Sabina, domestic violence, sentenced to 180 days in jail (177 suspended), fined $1,000, assessed $125 court costs. Stone must take part in supervised probation. If compliant, the court will suspend $750 of fine.

• George Williams, 27, of Columbus, drug possession, drug paraphernalia, fined $200, assessed $250 court costs. The cases were waived by the defendant.

• Matthew Frick, 24, of Sabina, telecommunication harassment, sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended), fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. Frick must have no contact with the victim.

• Robert Mcbee, 28, of Wilmington, disorderly conduct, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs.

• Chad Wilson, 38, of Sabina, failure to control, fined $30, assessed $125 court costs.

• Shelby Hunt, 24, of Cincinnati, going 90 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Dakota Beireis, 18, of Wilmington, failure to control, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Shawn Hubbard, 41, of Sabina, disorderly conduct, sentenced to 30 days in jail (29 days suspended), fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. Hubbard must take part in non-reporting probation.

• Lemar Reed, Jr., 40, of Lorain, going 96 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Jarrod Mikel, 27, of Blanchester, driving under suspension-failing to appear/pay fine, fined $125, assessed $125 court costs.

• Sarah Morrison, 23, of Xenia, going 95 in a 55 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Kyle Shattuck, 30, of Sabina, drug paraphernalia, fined $25, assessed $125 court costs.

• Nicky Roland, 27, of Blanchester, disorderly conduct, sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended), fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. The charge was amended from a menace from stalking charge. Roland must have no contact with the victim.

• Christopher Mcelligott, 22, of Galion, drug possession, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Derrick Rose, 39, of Hillsboro, driving under suspension-financial, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. A driving under suspension-failing to reinstate charge was dismissed.
