NEW VIENNA — The New Vienna Community Church is pleased to announce the return of the Puppet Ministry Program featuring an all-star cast of puppeteers slated to appear beginning at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13.

The public is invited — bring the kids and grandkids and your neighbor’s kids to enjoy an evening of fun, music and food at 412 West St., New Vienna.

The puppet program is entitled “Notes of Praise” and will share musical selections lifting up Jesus Christ.

“We are also pleased to introduce the Sugar Camp String Band who will provide fun down-home music prior to the puppets sharing their music,” said Pastor Dan Mayo.

The program will be followed by hot dogs, chips, popsicles, and drinks on a donation basis. The church grounds will be available for activities for the kids.

All ages will enjoy this lighthearted program featuring a cool cast of puppets ready to entertain you.

“This is our sixth year for the puppeteers and it is becoming quite a tradition at the church,” said Mayo. “We are pleased to have this summer edition of the puppet ministry, and we know the whole family will enjoy the evening. Our cast, under the leadership of George and Marilyn Fenner, is now an experienced crew, and it shows in the quality of performance.”
