Fall Book Sale at Wilmington library

The Friends of the Library Fall Book Sale will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 11 from 1-4 p.m. This annual event is held at the Wilmington Public Library at 268 N. South St. This year there will be a $2.50 bag sale on Sunday. All profits help support your local library.

Homemakers Fall Craft Day coming

The Clinton County Homemakers invite you to their annual Fall Heritage Craft day on Monday, Oct. 12 at the Clinton County OSUE community room at 111 S. Nelson Ave., Wilmington, starting at 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. You must pre-register and pay the craft supply fees for the classes by Oct. 2. You can call the OSUE office at 937-382-0901 or 937-987-2758 for registration and details.

They are offering the following craft classes: handmade Christmas photo book, Needlefelt snowman or/and pumpkins, design a T-shirt scarf, crafting handmade holiday cards and envelopes, fall floral design, create a terrarium, handcrafted holiday dolls, holiday fabric mesh wreath, tips on making hearty soups, cooking with herbs and ‘how-to’ instructions for Italian yeast bread. The fees for the classes are small and cover the cost of the materials. Pre-Registration and payment is required.

The Clinton County Homemakers have been presenting the Fall Craft Day for about five years. They believe in sharing talents and abilities with the community and meeting new people and having fun. CMH Health System Dog Walk slated

Bring your dog out for fun and prizes at the CMH Regional Health System Dog Walk from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3. Come to the walking trail entrance behind the hospital. Prizes will be awarded for best-dressed dog, smallest dog, cutest dog and largest dog. There will also be hot dogs and soft drinks, and doggy gift bags are available. Donations will be accepted for the CMH Scholarship Fund.
