WILMINGTON — The Clinton County Quilters will again have a quilt show at the Clinton County Corn Festival in September.
Approximately 150 quilts will be displayed in the quilt barn at the fairgrounds. You are invited to come see all of the beautiful quilts on display and vote on the “Viewer’s Choice Award” awarded to one lucky quilter on Saturday evening of the festival.
The Clinton County Quilters work all year to promote quilting and quilting education, making quilts for the Homeless Shelter, Quilts for Heroes, quilts for families that have had a house fire, and other charitable causes. Some of the members will be working on charitable quilts and demonstrating some other quilting techniques so visitors to the quilt barn may observe the actual quilt making process.
The quilts pictured are the three raffle quilts that will be given away at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 10. To purchase raffle tickets, you may contact any quilt group member, purchase them at the Corn Festival, or purchase them at the Cotton Junky Quilt Shop in Wilmington.
