WPD reports: Thefts, 1 overdose plus eggings

WILMINGTON — The following report is generated from reports provided by the Wilmington Police Department. All those arrested are presumed innocent until possibly proven guilty in court. Incidents are presumed to be under investigation. Charges may be dropped or changed in court.

Wilmington police recently processed the following reports:

• A breaking and entering was reported to police at 7:23 a.m. on Aug. 7. The report lists a 27” Giant bicycle as stolen from a residence at the 800 block of West Main Street from a 57-year-old male and a 56-year-old female. A 29-year-old male was charged. Other suspects include a 50-year-old male and a 20-year-old male.

• At 7:58 a.m. on Aug. 7, a 24-year-old male reported that someone stole his chainsaw from his residence at the 1-99 block of Josephine Street.

• At 5:55 p.m. on Aug. 8, 43-year-old male reported that various tools were stolen from his van sometime the previous night at his residence at the 300 block of South Walnut Street. The victim told authorities that the vehicle was left unlocked and the tools valued at $47.

• At 4:08 a.m. on Aug. 11, police responded to the 300 block of East Locust Street on the report a 23-year-old female that overdosed and was revived with Narcan. Police collected a plunger cap to a needle as evidence.

• Two eggings were reported to police. The first was at 2:28 a.m. on Aug. 9 at Denver Williams Park. A 25-year-old Hillsboro male was skating when he heard yelling and observed a vehicle driving through the parking lot and then heard something hit his truck. Police were unable to locate the vehicle. Later that day at 9:53 a.m. police responded to a residence on Timber Lane where a 76-year-old resident report his truck had been egged. The report indicated that it had been there a long time. Authorities located a second vehicle on Timber Lane that had been egged.

• At 11:46 p.m. on Aug. 9, a 19-year-old female reported $290 was stolen from her at a gas station on South South Street. The report lists a 22-year-old female as a suspect.

• Police responded to a burglary report at 6:41 a.m. on Aug. 10 at the 200 block of North Spring Street. According to the report, a red bike lock, a blue/white Schwinn bicycle, and a custom-built fixed gear bike was stolen from a 40-year-old female. Police recovered an alcohol beverage container and took it as evidence.

• At 8:34 a.m. on Aug. 10, a 52-year-old female reported a red NEXT bicycle was stolen from her residence at the 100 block of Oak Street.

• Police responded to the 1-99 block of Jodie Lane at 2:06 p.m. on Aug. 10 on a property damage report. According to the report, a 40-year-old female report that a 27-year-old Cincinnati male broke the windshield to her vehicle. A 19-year-old female is listed as a witness. The suspect was not located.

• At 3 p.m. on Aug. 10, a 70-year-old male reported several items were stolen from his garage at the 200 block of Grove Street. The report lists a cordless drill, a reciprocating and oscillating saw, an air compressor, and a battery charger as stolen items.

• Police responded to the 1000 block of Southridge Avenue at 11:51 p.m. on Aug. 10 on the report of suspicious activity and allegedly a person with a gun. Police made contact with a 25-year-old male who reported it to police. He showed that the suspects went to the back shed and ripped the window air conditioner out of the back window. He also advised that a red tool box and a carpet cleaner were removed from the shed and taken over to the back fence.

• At 12:20 a.m. on Aug. 11, a 25-year-old male reported items were stolen from his vehicle at the 100 block of North Wall Street. The report lists a construction hat, miscellaneous tools, and a gray duffle bag as the stolen items.

• Police responded to the 500 block of Cross Creek Circle at 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 11 on a property damage report. According to the report, a 44-year-old female resident told officers that she found a 10-foot slice down one side of her swimming pool, causing half of the water to spill out, and could not be repaired. The victim said she didn’t see or hear anything suspicious during the previous night.

• At 1:48 p.m. on Aug. 11, police responded to the 200 block of South Walnut Street on a property damage report. A 39-year-old female told authorities the front passenger window of her red 2003 Ford Focus was broken. Nothing was reported missing and police didn’t locate anything that might have been the cause of the damage.

• At 10:02 p.m. on Aug. 11, police located a bag with white powder during a traffic stop at the 100 block of South Street. The report lists two suspects, a 41-year-old Wilmington and a 29-year-old Blanchester male.

• Police received an assault report at 10:49 p.m. on Aug. 11. According to the report, a 51-year-old male was allegedly assaulted by a 39-year-old male at the 100 block of South Walnut Street after the suspect became upset at losing at a video game to the victim. The victim was allegedly grabbed by the throat and slammed to the floor.

Wilmington police also recently charged the following people:

• Kristy Bain, 22, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged child endangerment.

• Linwood Grace, Jr., 21, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged obstruction of official business, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.

• Amber Nowicki, 24, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged theft and criminal tool possession.

• Shane Donaldson, 19, of Clarksville, was charged with alleged theft, criminal tool possession, and drug abuse instrument possession.

• Steven Bennett, 36, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged driving under suspension-financial, driving while under the influence, and driving in marked lanes/continuous lines.

• Lila Kincaid, 20, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged underage consumption and driving while under the influence.

• Geoffrey Brown, 38, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged criminal damaging/endangering.

• Jacob Ritchie, 25, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged criminal mischief and criminal trespass.

• Cory Devor, 30, of Wilmington, was charged with allegedly having an open container in a vehicle.

• James Green, 39, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged disorderly conduct.

• Brandon Tedrick, 30, of Covington, Kentucky, was charged with alleged trespassing and criminal damaging.

• William Mays, 55, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged child endangerment.

• Christopher Marshall, 25, of Lebanon, was charged with alleged domestic assault.
