The Laurels of Blanchester held a cookout on Monday, Sept. 11 to thank the first responders in the area as a commemoration of 9/11. The efforts of the folks involved with the police forces, fire companies and EMTs were recognized for all the work they do. Attending the event were representatives of the Blanchester Police Department, Blanchester Marion Township Joint Fire District, Blanchester EMS and folks from Buckeye Ambulance Service. Realizing the contributions that these brave folks make every day, The Laurels felt it fitting to say, “Thank you.”
