In a Sept. 16 article about a Sabina Village Council meeting, it was reported the Sabina mayor said Councilman Bill Lewis had gone beyond the assignment of the FEMA Flood Zone Relief Committee, which Lewis chairs. The News Journal article reported that Lewis replied he had mentioned to the mayor the committee’s attention to storm sewers before the committee proceeded on the topic. The article did not include any response by the mayor to Lewis’ statement about giving prior notice. To clarify, Mayor Dean Hawk did confirm during the council meeting that Lewis had approached him.
