Catch Night Fever tribute to Bee Gees

WILMINGTON — Catch some Night Fever and dance on down to the Bee Gees tribute at the Murphy Theatre.

How deep is your love for the blockbuster group the Bee Gees? You should be dancing Saturday, Oct. 14 at the Murphy Theatre when Night Fever, the world’s No. 1 production of Bee Gees tribute concerts, takes the stage to play a lively show from the band’s 50-year career.

Night Fever features the vocals and look of the Bee Gees with John Ralphs as Barry Gibb, Joe Varga as Robin Gibb, and Carm Castiglione as Maurice Gibb.

All the Bee Gees hits — including “Jive Talkin,” “Stayin’ Alive,” “More Than a Woman” — will be played as the audience dances along. The songs are performed note for note, chord for chord, exactly like the original recordings — and backed by a live band of studio musicians.

This would be the perfect night for friends to get dressed up in their best 1970s outfits and have a great time dancing the night away at the Murphy.

Based in Toronto, Night Fever has performed all over the northern United States and internationally in places like India, Mexico and, of course, Canada. The band has been touring for many years, bringing to life the songs of the Bee Gees, one of the world’s best-selling groups of all time and 1997 inductees of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The show at the Murphy will begin at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 14. Ticket prices range from $17 to $34 and can be purchased from the box office, which is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; online at ww.themurphytheatre.org; or by calling (937) 382-3643.

Also coming in October:

• Oct. 21, 3 p.m.: From Gettysburg to Baghdad. This movie premiere is for a short film written and directed by Wilmington native Artie Knapp.

• Oct. 22, 2 p.m.: The Cat in the Hat. The Dr. Seuss children’s book is brought alive on stage by TCT On Tour, a division of The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati. This event is presented by National Cooperative Bank.
