The East Clinton High School Class of 1967 held its 50th anniversary reunion with three days of festivities.
On Friday night, Aug. 4 the class President Greg Linkhart and his wife Kathy hosted a cookout and bonfire at their lovely New Vienna home. On Saturday afternoon, Aug. 5 class members toured the Murphy Theatre in downtown Wilmington.
On Saturday evening, 48 class members and guests met at McCoy’s Catering for an evening of dining, games and reminiscing about their school years together.
A memorial was made for the 17 classmates who have passed away.
The Class of ’67 honored the military veterans who were among its graduates. Attendees voted to donate two flags to East Clinton High School.
The weekend concluded with a Sunday morning church service at Galvin Park in Wilmington that was led by classmate and pastor, John Laufer. Attendees enjoyed a pizza buffet at Generations Pizzeria.
There were several meetings and many classmates involved in the planning for this 50th anniversary class reunion.
