CENTERVILLE, Ohio (AP) — A wrong-way crash on Interstate 675 in Ohio killed two men.

Police say the crash happened around 9:30 p.m. Monday in the southbound lanes of the highway in Centerville.

Authorities say the wrong-way driver grazed one vehicle before hitting another vehicle head-on. The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office said the men killed as 69-year-old Melvin Bonie Jr., of Beavercreek and 18-year-old Kalip Grimm. Grimm’s hometown wasn’t immediately available.

Centerville Police Officer John Davis says the preliminary investigation indicates Bonie was driving the wrong way. Grimm was driving the vehicle that was hit head-on.

The occupants of the vehicle that was grazed suffered minor injuries.

The highway was closed for six hours following the crash. An investigation into the cause is continuing.
