WILMINGTON – Cuba Road is closed beginning Monday morning, Oct. 30 until 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3 weather permitting, according to the City of Wilmington.

The closure is located at the northern-most railway crossing on Cuba Road, approximately 185 feet east of US 68, within the Wilmington city limits.

The road closure is due to necessary repairs to the train track and rail crossing. A contractor for the Indiana & Ohio Railway will perform the repairs.

During the construction, Cuba Road is completely closed to traffic at the rail crossing. Detours will be marked to enable local traffic to avoid the road closure.

The City of Wilmington asks that all motorists be patient, reduce speed, and exercise added caution when traveling near this work zone. Questions regarding the closure may be made to the Office of the Director of Public Service at 937-382-6509.
