Learn to succeed at tough conversations

“Succeeding at Tough Conversations” featuring speaker Anne Bonney is the topic for the Greater Wilmington Human Resource Association (GWHRA) event set for Tuesday, Nov. 14 at Southern State Community College North Campus, 1850 Davids Drive, Wilmington.

To be an impactful and successful leader, you are required to deal with challenging situations, which involves having difficult conversations. Tough conversations involve potentially emotionally charged topics that if not dealt with well, can poison a work environment, and negatively impact the business.

This is especially critical in today’s fast-paced, ever-changing modern work environment. Navigating tough conversations is not a natural skill and it’s not comfortable, but it can be learned, and when successfully managed, can turn a potentially destructive situation into a powerful positive turning point for a team.

This workshop will guide leaders through identifying situations that require a critical conversation, and arm them with tools to avoid potential landmines, and cruise through these conversations that bring teams together, and move the business forward.

Bonney is an energetic and engaging speaker, leadership trainer and weight loss coach and creator of Floor It: Power Principles to Accelerate Your Life, and Naked Confidence: Mindset and Habit Transformation for Weight Loss. After 20 years in successful leadership positions in the corporate setting, she now uses her experience, education, and expertise to help people strengthen their self-leadership skills to improve their results.
