Kiwanis installs new officers

The Wilmington Kiwanis Club new officers for the 2015-2016 year were recently sworn in by 2015-16 Division 4 Lt. Gov. Larry Warner from the Kettering-Centerville Kiwanis Club. Division 4 Lt. Gov. Larry Warner spoke about his goals for the new Kiwanis Year for Division 4 Kiwanis Clubs.

The Wilmington club honored Past President Kim Hiatt on her successful year as Club President in 2014-2015.

Upcoming club activities include:

• The Wilmington Kiwanis Club will have its Annual Pancake Breakfast Saturday, Oct 24 at the Wilmington Presbyterian Church from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased from any club member.

• The Backyard Bash II Trophy Football Game — Wilmington vs. Clinton-Massie — is Friday, Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. Wilmington High School Stadium-Alumni Field.

• The Wilmington Kiwanis Club meets every first and third Thursday of the month at 11:45 a.m. at the Wilmington Presbyterian Church, 840 Timber Glen.The public is invited to attend.

The new club officers for 2015-2016 are: Ron Johnson, Club Treasurer; Div 4 Lt. Gov. Larry Warner; President-Elect Ruth Curtis; Past President Kim Hiatt; Club President Vermon L. Dillon; and Club Secretary Terri Thobaben.
