The Health Alliance of Clinton County hosted its annual Holiday Ball for Charity entitled “December’s Glow” Saturday evening at Roberts Centre, capturing the ambiance of the beautiful glowing lights of the December holidays.

Guests entered through opened gates that were adorned with bright lights and greenery, welcoming all to enter the ballroom filled with colorful illumination. The backdrops for the auction items were decorated with sparkling white lights amid wisps of snow-like draping topped with trees and evergreens aglow with colorful holiday spirit, as lighted snowmen stood tall among them.

The hors d’oeuvre table was centered with a beautiful ice sculpture wreath designed to coordinate with the dining table decorations and was set among the offerings of delightful appetizers. The large dining tables were dressed in bright green satin cloths with green napkins and highlighted with fresh evergreen wreaths encircling lovely bright red poinsettia plants. The red chair covers were accented with evergreen colored sashes.

A large mural depicting snowcapped mountains and evergreen trees set the wintery tone for the front of the ballroom with brightly colored holiday trees and large old fashioned street lights beside tall snowmen draped in winter fashion. Snowflake designs swirled about the ballroom floor creating the movement and feel of snow flurries while the walls of the ballroom were washed with soft green lights amid woodland images.

President Louanne Blumberg welcomed guests and introduced Ball Chairmen Jennifer Hollon and Ann Johnson, as well as Auction Chairs Patti Cook and Susan Kocher. Members of the Alliance were asked to stand for recognition and thanked for their dedication and creative efforts turning the ballroom into a beautiful holiday venue for such an enjoyable event. Frances Sharp gave the invocation.

Following dinner, the Silent Auction bids were closed and Rhonda Wise of Kersey Real Estate was introduced to explain the Live Auction proceedings. Danny Williams and Bill Wise, both associated with Kersey Real Estate, ran the live auction, and Renita Edwards assisted.

The band, Laika, provided lively music as many enjoyed dancing throughout the rest of the evening.

Proceeds from the Holiday Ball will go to the Cancer Patients Assistant Program of Clinton County which is supported and managed by the Health Alliance.

Many thanks are given to the generous sponsors, the Auction Donors, and the wonderful patrons who attend and support this annual event.
