WHS honors Students of the Month

WILMINGTON — The Wilmington High School Students of the Month for March are:

English — Khya Humbert

Khya Humbert is articulate, analytical, and philosophical; she exhibits a strong work ethic and a creative viewpoint about literature and life. Congratulations on your nomination as the English Department’s Student of the Month.

Social Studies — Paige Souther

The Social Studies Department would like to recognize Paige Souther as Student of the Month for March. Paige has really excelled in her US Government class this year. She is a very hard worker, is always mindful of following class instructions and is a good role model for her fellow students. Keep up the great work Paige!

Science — Madison Stoops

Maddie has been a very hard working, responsible student that has consistently exceeded expectations in class. Maddie is a great role model for those around her. She is always prepared and engages in class. Maddie helps those around her when needed, and is proactive in her own learning. Maddie is a great leader both in the classroom and in colorguard where she supports and encourages others to do the best they can.

Math — Tahlia Brewer

The Math Department is pleased to announce that Tahlia Brewer has been selected as February Student of the Month. Her extra efforts and daily tenacity have earned her an A this quarter. Congratulations to Tahlia!

Gym/Health — Brady McKinney

Brady is an extremely hard worker in APF. He comes in prepared every day, works hard and does not whine. Thank you for the great effort Brady, keep working hard.

FFA — Madison Gilbert

Madison is an extremely active member of the FFA Chapter. Madison is active in many other activities outside of the FFA but still finds time to compete, attend, and promote our chapter at every turn. Madison is a natural leader and an even better student. Madison’s name will be seen in many ways in the upcoming months!

Art — Sarah Creditt

Sarah is a hard working student who consistently goes above and beyond. She is always willing to help her peers and is an important part of our art community. Thank you for everything that you do Sarah!

Foreign Language — Caitlyn Davis

Caitlyn is an enthusiastic, positive, and kind student with a love of learning. She is a pleasure to have in class!

Vocal Music — Darrian Cole

The Vocal Music department is pleased to announce that Darrian Cole has been selected as Student of the Month for March. Darrian is a member of two of the choirs this year and has a leadership position in both groups. Beyond this fine example of leadership, he is also an office aide during one of the middle school choirs and continues to set a positive example for the younger students. Darrian is quick to offer help to his classmates and the director. He will be greatly missed after graduation.

Exceptional Student Education — Madison Adkins

Madison Adkins goes over and above for the ESE class. She always comes in at 4th period during her study hall and helps out tremendously. She is amazing with all the students! She is a hard worker and overachiever.
