15 charged in Municipal Court

WILMINGTON – The following report is compiled using a disposition report provided by the Clinton County Municipal Court. The information includes the name of the defendant, age, location (if listed), charge disposed, fine, court costs assessed, jail sentence and any special conditions. Municipal Court Judge Mike Daugherty oversees the court, which handles misdemeanors, traffic cases and some civil cases. Only the criminal misdemeanors are included here.

The following pled guilty or were found guilty of crimes from Oct. 19 to Oct. 23:

  • Joe Mitchell, 42, Cincinnati, possession of marijuana, fined $100, assessed $100 court costs.
  • Jerrod Griffith, 29, Sardinia, possession of a drug abuse instrument, sentenced 30 days jail (suspended), fined $100, assessed $100 court costs, driver’s license suspended six months. Defendant must comply with unsupervised probation.
  • Dusty Taylor, 22, Clarksville, domestic violence, telephone harassment, sentenced 210 days jail, fined $1250, assessed $200 court costs. The domestic violence charge was amended from domestic violence, a misdemeanor in the first degree. Jail to be concurrent with other charges. Defendant must have no contact with a certain person except through juvenile court visitation orders. If the defendant is compliant, court will suspend $650 of fine.
  • Ronald Ison, 33, Hillsboro, receiving stolen property, sentenced 30 days jail (suspended), fined $150, assessed $100 court costs. Defendant must do 20 hours community service, write a letter to certain person and submit through probation.
  • Devon Curtis, 23, Wilmington, possession of marijuana, fined $100, assessed $100 court costs.
  • Ryan McBrayer, 31, Wilmington, domestic violence, sentenced 120 days jail, fined $1000, assessed $100 court costs. Charge was amended from domestic violence in the fourth degree. Jail to be served concurrent with any felony time.
  • Christopher Rowley, 29, Fayetteville, theft, sentenced 20 days jail (suspended), fined $100, assessed $100 court costs. Defendant must write letter of apology and have no contact with Walmart. Defendant must also remain on good behavior and be monitored by unsupervised probation for two years.
  • Joshua Nance, 37, Sabina, disorderly conduct, assessed $100 court costs. Charge was amended from domestic violence, a misdemeanor in the fourth degree. Defendant must pay costs only.
  • Timothy Leimbach, 22, Cincinnati, unauthorized use of property, sentenced 30 days jail (stayed), fined $250, assessed $100 court costs. Charge was amended from theft, a misdemeanor in the first degree. Jail stayed to allow defendant to complete probation. Another charge of receiving stolen property was dismissed.
  • Wesley Seitz, 19, Batavia, receiving stolen property, sentenced 180 days jail, fined $1000, assessed $100 court costs. Defendant to do supervised probation and write a letter of apology to certain people to be submitted through probation. If compliant, the court will suspend $500 of fine.
  • Tina Christman, 47, Blanchester, disorderly conduct, sentenced five days jail (suspended),. Charge was amended from false alarm, a misdemeanor in the first degree. There was no fine and costs were waived and jail was suspended on condition the defendant has no further violations.
  • Brandon Tedrick, 28, Covington, trespassing, possession of drugs. Sentencing stayed until Nov. 19.
  • Chastity Joiner, 39, Wilmington, assault. Sentencing stayed.
  • Brandon Lynch, 18, Clarksville, assault. Sentencing stayed. Defendant must complete SAQ and have no contact with certain person.
  • Samantha Troung, 20, Mason, possession of marijuana, fined $100, assessed $105 court costs.

The following had charges dismissed:

  • Austin Quigley, 23, Wilmington, drug paraphernalia; charge dismissed.

Also in municipal court:

  • Brandon McComas, 24, Hillsboro, two counts illegal manufacturing of drugs. Preliminary hearing waived, bond continued at $50,000 and case transferred to Clinton County Court of Common Pleas.
  • Michael Bragg, 47, Etters, fugitive from justice. Defendant extradited to Pennsylvania.
