WILMINGTON – Officials at RCCH HealthCare Partners announced Monday that Lance Beus has been named Chief Executive Officer at CMH Regional Health System.
Beus most recently served as CEO of Tennova Regional Hospital Jackson in Jackson, Tennessee.
His first day at the hospital will be June 4.
“We are very pleased to welcome Lance and his wife Ariel to Wilmington and to CMH,” said Greg Nielsen, Division President for RCCH and CMH’s former CEO. “Lance has an outstanding record of leading growing healthcare organizations with great success in key areas like patient safety and the delivery of high quality care. The board and I are very confident that Lance is the right person to lead our hospital into its very bright future.”
Beus has nearly 10 years of both hospital operational and physician practices for national healthcare organizations in Tennessee and Texas. He also served stints as a hospital CEO in international hospitals engaged in long-term management contracts.
Prior to serving as the CEO of the 152-bed Tennova Regional Hospital Jackson, Beus served as President of CHRISTUS Jasper Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Texas. While he was at Jasper the hospital increased their internal Culture of Safety Survey composite score from 39 percent to 67 percent in the first year, and to 90 percent in the second year.
The hospital also increased physician satisfaction scores by 30 percentile points and employee satisfaction by 19 points.
Earlier during his career Beus served as the Assistant CEO – Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin, Texas and as Practice Administrator for a 17-provider cardiology practice with eight locations.

Beus added, “I truly believe this can and will be a true regional hospital with the breadth and depth of services that brings people to Wilmington for their care. Beus received his Master of Public Health in Health Administration from the East Tennessee State University and his Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Brigham Young University. While at BYU Beus was a varsity baseball player.
He and his wife Ariel have four children — Kendall 9, Ryan 7, Sloane 3 and baby Blake.
The Beuses are both athletes — Lance was a minor league baseball player following graduation. Ariel is a former college softball player and triathlete, including completing an IronMan triathlon.
