SABINA — You may have seen new artwork popping up around Sabina. Early this month, two large murals were hung out in front of the old Frostie on U.S. 22/S.R. 3 in the village.

The murals and paintings have all been completed by East Clinton High School and Middle School art students, with supplies provided by the Sabina Lions Club.

“We are thrilled for the opportunity to collaborate with the Lions Club on this project, and because we will have so many paintings hanging in Sabina, we have decided to host our annual art show at the Lightner House [in Sabina]. Patrons will be encouraged to stroll around Sabina after the show to see the murals and large-scale paintings,” said an East Clinton spokesperson.

You are invited to come to Sabina on Monday, May 21 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Lightner House to see the EC art show, and also to walk around Sabina. The Lightner House is located at 146 N. Howard St. in Sabina.

There will be cookies and punch, made by Mrs. Helton’s and Mrs. Saylor’s classes.

“We’re hoping to bring out the community for this event,” the spokesperson said.
