July was a busy month for East Clinton’s FFA chapter.
In the beginning of July, Clinton County held its annual fair where many of the members competed, showing lambs, pigs, goats, cattle, poultry and many more.
It was a successful week for everyone. Many members placed first in their classes, and some even made it to the final drive with their species of animal.
Also, the Ohio State Fair was very successful for some of the chapter’s members.
One member in particular was Myah Jones, who entered to show market turkeys at the state fair with her younger sister, Jozie Jones, who is in the eighth grade.
Both girls had an amazing week. Myah won Grand Champion Market Turkey overall. Jozie also did well with winning Reserve Grand Market Turkey overall. The Jones sisters took the win for the market turkeys.
Many other members who showed at the state fair did well also.
In the long run, the East Clinton FFA had a successful year at both fairs. The chapter also enjoyed working with Premier Feed at the Ohio Pork Booth.
