Blan FFA concludes annual food drive

The Blanchester FFA wrapped up the annual Glenn Thompson Food Drive Monday, Dec. 17.

The food drive would not be possible without several community businesses and individuals helping see this event through every year, and the FFA would like to thank them for that support. Blanchester FFA also extends a special thanks to Putman Elementary and Blanchester Intermediate Schools for hosting a food drive amongst their students to donate to the Glenn Thompson Food Drive.

In addition, Blanchester Middle School donated money by hosting a hat day, allowing students to wear a hat for one day by donating a minimum of $1.

As for Blanchester High School, every year the food drive is a friendly competition between staff and students as to who can raise or bring the most donations on behalf of their class. To the first-place winner — Mr. Hamm’s homeroom — the Blanchester FFA thanked them by cooking the homeroom teacher and class a breakfast; and provides doughnuts to the second-place winner, Mrs. Harpen’s homeroom.

Blanchester FFA greatly appreciates all of the efforts within the community and are so grateful for continued support for the continuation of the Glenn Thompson Food Drive.
