Local artist Ronald D. Keith will host an open house and silent auction on Saturday, Dec. 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Blanchester Public Library, 110 N. Broadway. The sixth and newest piece of his “Homecoming” series of historical Blanchester places, titled “Second Creek Sabbath,” is the item available through the silent auction. The painting depicts the Second Creek Methodist Church, which remains in use as a church building, north of town. Silent auction bids will close at 3 p.m. Saturday, with $325 as the minimum. Prints and post cards bearing the same church scene will be available for purchase. Other new works by Keith will be on display at the event. Keith is a 1982 graduate of Blanchester High School.
