AMES chosen as supplier by Leidos

WILMINGTON – Airborne Maintenance & Engineering Services, Inc. (AMES), a subsidiary of Air Transport Services Group, Inc., has been chosen as a supplier by Leidos, a global science and technology company. AMES’ manufacturing division will produce components in support of an Army aircraft program.

AMES will deliver wire harnesses, coaxial, and fiber optic cables for Army aircraft. This work will culminate with a system demonstration and delivery of these aircraft by Leidos to the U.S. Army.

AMES is a one-stop aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) provider that operates nearly a half-million square feet of hangar and component repair/overhaul facilities in Wilmington, plus an additional 320,000 square feet through PEMCO World Air Services in Tampa, Florida as well as line maintenance operations in Cincinnati and Miami.
