Habermehl a man of character

They say you can tell what kind of person someone is by what they do when they think no one is watching. For years, I’ve seen Terry Habermehl doing thankless tasks week after week. We both attend Wilmington Church of The Nazarene where Terry has served in many ways, including on our Board of Directors. But after he and his wife, Beth, serve our children breakfast he quietly cleans up the messes every Sunday in our Family Life Center. They also are teachers for our 3-5 year-olds, so Terry often becomes a “jungle jim” and kids love him! Terry does whatever is necessary to help without drawing attention to himself.

Terry speaks to everyone with the same attention no matter how they’re dressed or their station in life. He just seems to really enjoy people and care about them.

This is the first time I’ve ever written a letter to the editor despite my many strong opinions over the years. Terry Habermehl’s campaign slogan, “Habermehl For The People” is a true reflection of what he stands for. He has the educational and vocational experience of a good candidate for commissioner, but his character makes him a great candidate!
