Those of us who work in the church (laboring in the Lord’s vineyard, as is often said) are constantly challenged to “practice what we preach.” We are called to bring the love, care and concern that we champion from the pulpit into the community to improve the lives of our fellow citizens. While this is a noble and worthy cause and one that is consistent with Christian theology, it is a very difficult task to accomplish. Partisan politics and the harsh reality of economics can render the best intentions of a concerned clergy person futile.

There are those, however, we have been successful in bridging this divide to the benefit of our community. One such person is Dean Feldmeyer. Dean is a candidate for Clinton County Commissioner who has the capacity and caring nature to bring concern for his fellow citizens into government.

For this reason, I urge the voters of Clinton County who believe we need those with a heart for helping others and a high sense of responsibility to vote for my friend and colleague in the ministry, Dean Feldmeyer, for County Commissioner.
