As a retired State Senator, the recent “flap” over funding the fluoride program struck a chord. Too often I have watched helplessly as taxpayer dollars were shifted around just because they were available. Then, as time passed and the funds were needed for fulfill their original assignment … they were not there. We have seen this on a grand scale with Social Security and Medicare.

Watchdogs are important … I am glad we have people like Loren Stuckert around.
