Great haircut, great memories

0

Friends of the Sportsman’s Barber Shop: I went to get a haircut last Saturday and found a new barber there, and learned that John Hawk died.

John the Barber was my barber for 40 years. He gave my son his first haircut and John still had the picture of that event in his tool drawer. Every time my son visited him, John brought out the picture and they reminisced on past times, and John was always interested in what my son was doing.

John seemed to know every customer’s interests. John seemed to know every topic a customer was interested in. John was the classic barber. I am very sorry for his loss. I know his family has many fond memories of John and of his interests, especially cars. I will always think of John the Barber.

A new barber has the business in the same location — Tom the Barber. I encourage all of John’s customers to visit and support Tom. Tom the Barber did a great job on my haircut.
