Lions Candy Store sweet success

0

The Wilmington Lions Club just finished the 2017 Christmas candy sale and we would like to thank the many people of Wilmington, Clinton County and the surrounding area for stopping into our store to purchase our products. This year we had 58 different kinds of candy, including fine Yoder’s Amish Candies from Highland County, assorted packages of candy products from Windy Acres, Buckeyes from Deanna Liermann, three flavors of popcorn from Pop Culture in Gatlinburg, Tenn., many beautiful Christmas decorations from Shelley’s Creations of Clinton County and Christmas package tags from a member of our Lion family.

A special thank you to the following businesses: Ferno-Washington, Liberty Savings, MB Financial, Cape May, Wilmington Senior Center and the Clinton-Massie Christmas Bazaar for inviting the Lions to sell Christmas candy at their locations.

Also we wouldn’t want to forget all the help we received from Imagine That Tool Rental, Infintech of Cincinnati, the Wilmington News Journal for pictures that appeared in the paper and the full-page ad that appeared in early December and the many businesses that helped make this large ad possible. Thank you, Tom Barr and the WNJ staff for all your help helping us make this year’s sales event a great success.

Also, a huge thank you to Char Prickett for your help in arranging for us to use the old Staples store once again this year and the Dollar Store manager for supplying us with your plastic bags for our sales use and allowing us to dispose of all of our empty cardboard boxes into your dumpster. You don’t know how much we appreciate these kind acts.

Thank you, and a prosperous New Year.
