WILMINGTON — The Rodger O. Borror Middle School 8th grade girls basketball team defeated Chillicothe 48-37 Monday night to remain unbeaten on the season.

The young Lady Hurricane (5-0) were led by Jasmine Jamiel’s 22-point effort. She also had 5 rebounds and 9 steals.

Olivia Veidt had 10 points, 8 rebounds and a steal. Karlie Morgan added 9 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and came up with 1 steal. Sami McCord had 4 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals.. Allie Kees had 3 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals. Sophie Blessing had 3 rebounds.
