ALLIANCE – The University of Mount Union scored seven of the first eight goals and rode that to a 17-5 victory over the Wilmington College men’s lacrosse team Friday in Ohio Athletic Conference action.
WC trailed 6-1 after one quarter with Connor Judge scoring the only goal for the local squad. Zac Chucta had an assist.
Judge finished with a hat trick on five shots. Andrew Miller and Isaac Louis Charles also scored for the Quakers.
The hosts held a 61-27 shots advantage along with winning 21-of-25 face-offs. The Purple Raiders also grabbed 48 ground balls with the Quakers had 32.
Wilmington (2-11, 0-7 OAC) hosts Capital University for Senior Night Wednesday.
