GOSHEN – A slow start doomed the Blanchester High School softball team in a 3-1 loss to Goshen Tuesday in a non-league game at GHS.

Blanchester trailed 3-0 early. The Ladycats scored their only run in the seventh inning.

Blanchester goes to 2-16 on the year while Goshen improves to 8-7.

“This was just an all-around, well-played game by both teams,” BHS coach Jamey Grogg said. “It just came down to timely hitting.”

Rianna Mueller pitched well but took the loss for Blanchester.

Kassidy Abney had two hits and Mueller drove in the lone BHS run.
