MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Clinton-Massie wrapped up its spring break trip with a 14-5 win over Mount DeSales Academy (Md.).

The win makes Massie 4-0 on the trip and 18-3 overall.

“We were fortunate to have beautiful weather the whole week,” CM coach Anthony Lauer said. “I think we have really come together as a team here and we are playing some decent softball as the tournament season is approaching.”

Taylor Florea picked up the pitching win to go to 11-2 and had four hits at the plate.

Kendall Anderson had three hits for the Lady Falcons.

“We came out strong in the first inning, putting seven runs across the plate,” Lauer said. “We then went a little flat. This was the warmest day we have played in all year (85 degrees). I think that played a little factor in our letdown.”
