OWENSVILLE — The Clinton-Massie reserve girls basketball team defeated Clermont Northeastern 38-22 Tuesday to win the reserve title at the 2015 Clermont Northeastern Holiday Basketball Tournament.

The Lady Falcons raced out to an 18-4 first quarter lead and were on top 28-12 at halftime. Despite Clermont Northeastern scoring the only third quarter point, the Lady Rockets still trailed 28-13 after three quarters.

Faith Cottrell had 13 points, with seven coming in the final quarter for the Lady Falcons.

Madilyn Newton had eight points in the first quarter and finished with 11 points. Haley Conley had eight points, all in the second quarter. Sydney Leary scored all six of her points in the first quarter.
