The team of Bill Ross, Dick Mitchener, Jeff Frey and Clarence Cross had a 5-under 31 Thursday and finished first in the Community Golf League outing at the Elks 797 Golf Course.

The winners had birdies on Nos. 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8.
