Springboro stops WHS boys JV golf

WILMINGTON — The Wilmington High School junior varsity boys golf team was defeated by Springboro 169 to 214 Tuesday at the Elks 797 Golf Course.

“Our team score has dropped 24 strokes in the last two weeks,” WHS coach Kerry Wilkinson said. “These guys are dedicated to the game and are putting in the daily work it takes to get better. Seeing our team score drop as much as it has, is evidence that they are continuing to improve individually and as a team each and every day.”

Dylan Cole was medalist for the Hurricane with a season-best 44.

Cole Fickert and Jaden Snyder both had 55s. Charles Bell had a season-best 56 and Brayden Smith shot a season-best 57.

Devon Snyder came in with a 58 while Phillip Fulton and Dirk Rinehart both carded 63s.
