Blanchester boys post 5-0 win at ‘Burg

WILLIAMSBURG — The Blanchester High School boys soccer team defeated Williamsburg 5-0 Tuesday in SBAAC National Division action at WHS.

“Many of our guys were battling some bumps and bruises or sickness, but it did not stop anyone from going out and giving what they could to help the team pull out a victory,” BHS coach Andrew Freeman said. “We hope that it is a game that propels us forward into a successful second half of the season.”

Blanchester is 2-5-1 overall and 2-3-1 in the National Division.

Cameron Gibson had a pair of goals while Cameron Skidmore (first goal of season), Carter Stevens and Reagan Burch had one goal each.

Assists were credited to Colton Wilson and Taylor Cochran.

Zach West had 11 saves to record his first career shutout, Freeman said.
