The Rodger O. Borror eighth grade boys basketball team defeated East Clinton 49-28 Thursday night, completing a sweep of the Astros in the two-game series.
The Borror squad led 24-15 at halftime but East Clinton made it a three-point game in the third quarter, ROB coach Steve Crago said.
The young Hurricane (8-3 on the year, 8-2 against SCOL teams) scored the final seven points of the third quarter and then outscored East Clinton 14-4 in the fourth period for the win.
Brady Evans led ROB with 16 points. Cameron Coomer had 10 points.
Jack Murphy added six points and Conner Mitchell scored five points. Chris Custis and Blake Rhodehamel had four points each. Zack Evans and Jordan Macik scored two points each.
