Wildcats, Cardinals battle to 6-6 tie

BLANCHESTER — In a genuine soccer shootout, Blanchester and Felicity tied 6-6 Tuesday in SBAAC National Division boys soccer action at Barbour Memorial Field.

The Wildcats are 2-6-2 overall and 2-4-2 in the National.

Carter Stevens scored four goals for Blanchester, all in the first half of the match.

Reagan Burch had a goal while Cameron Skidmore had two assists. Colton Wilson had a goal and an assist. Taylor Cochran was credited with an assist in the scorebook.

“This was another tough one but I cannot fault or question our team for the heart they played with,” BHS coach Andrew Freeman said. “We had to battle through various points of adversity, which has been difficult for us this season.

“Some balls unfortunately did not bounce our way. I know we all wanted to get the victory but we will continue to learn and keep trying to improve.”
