OWENSVILLE — The East Clinton volleyball team had a shot a moving into second place in the SBAAC National Division Wednesday night.

But Clermont Northeastern held on to second with a 25-15, 14-25, 17-25, 8-25 win over East Clinton.

The Astros are 8-3 overall and 5-3 in the division.

The Rockets are 13-4 overall and 8-1 in the division.

Myah Jones had eight kills, seven assists and five blocks for East Clinton.

Gracie Evanshnie had seven kills and Libby Evanshine had five kills. Emma Malone finished with 14 digs while Rhylee Luttrell had nine digs.
