Blanchester reserve girls rip Rockets 43-28

BLANCHESTER – The Blanchester reserve basketball team raced out to an early lead and defeated Clermont Northeastern 43-28 Monday in a Southern Buckeye Conference National Division game at the BHS gym.

The Ladycats led 18-8 at the end of the first quarter thanks to six points from Elecia Patton. She finished with 10 for the game.

Regan Ostermeier was held scoreless in the opening period but then scored six in the second and five in the third to lead the BHS attack with 13 points.

Hayley Wilson had seven points and Shelbie Rose tossed in six. Asia Baldwin scored three points while Olivia Gundler and Dakota Watters had two points each.

After going 0-for-3 at the free throw line in the first half, Blanchester made 7-of-11 at the line in the second half.

Leah Decature led Clermont Northeastern with 10 points.
