The Blanchester eighth grade boys basketball team was defeated by Clermont Northeastern 53-50 in overtime Wednesday night.

The young Rockets won the game on a last-second three-point shot, Blanchester coach Brad Ballinger said.

Kaleb Goodin had 18 points and six rebounds for the Wildcats, who are now 6-6 on the year.

Tanner Creager had 17 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals. Hunter Bare had eight points and four rebounds. Jay Ashcraft had four points and Avin Whitaker had three points, four rebounds and four assists. Braden Roy had three steals.
