LIMA — Blanchester finished 38th Saturday at the 41-team LCC Thunderbird Invitational wrestling tournament.

Mechanicsburg was first by more than 120 points over runnerup Miami East.

The lone Blanhester wrestler to qualify for the consolation quarterfinal round was Kyle Denier at 113 pounds. He forfeited in that match.

Denier won his fourth round consolation match with a major decision over Dylan Montgomery of McComb 18-7. Brent Hopkins lost his fourth round consolation match to Jacob Hahn of Eastwood by pin in 4:23.
