Blan MS girls sweep 2 from CNE

The Blanchester Middle School girls basketball teams took two games from Clermont Northeastern Wednesday.

The eighth grade, now 2-2 on the year, posted a 22-12 win. The coaches said each player on the BMS team contributed to the win.

Desiree Snader made two free throws with 38 seconds to play to seal the victory. She finished with two rebounds and two steals as well.

Kaylee Coyle had eight points, six rebounds and three steals. Shelbie Panetta had six points, eight rebounds and two steals.

Abbey Irwin finished with four points and two rebounds. Macey Waldron contributed two points, four rebounds and three steals. Hope Blankenbeckler had two points and three steals. Gracie Roy chipped in with three rebounds.

The seventh grade improve to 3-1 with a 24-9 win. Blanchester led 16-1 at halftime.

Maggie Grant had 10 points while Kylee Hamm and Torie Potts finished with six each. Audrey Byrom had two points off the bench. Alayna Davenport, Bobbi Sue White and Maddie Gillman played solid defense and ran the floor well, the coaches said.
