BATAVIA — East Clinton was 12th Saturday at the Batavia Middle School Invitational wrestling tournament.

Ethan Shepherd and Lukas Runk were both weight-class runnersup for the Astros.

Owen Roberts was third as was Kaleb Bauman. Chris Rider was fourth.

Miami Trace won the tournament with Reading finishing second overall. There were 18 teams in the tournament.

Also wrestling for East Clinton, Jack Kessler, Braedan Haywood, Colton Brockman, Curtis Singleton, Jade Griffith, Avery Hughes. Brockman was the third wrestler for EC at 110 pounds and had three pins.

Rider was fourth at 104 with two pins. Shepherd had three pins at 110 pounds. Bauman had three pins among four wins at 116 pounds. Runk at 122 pounds and Roberts at 172 pounds both had four wins.
