WHS boys runnerup, girls 4th in final SCOL bowling standings

HILLSBORO — The Wilmington High School boys bowling team finished third and the girls fifth Monday in the South Central Ohio League Bowling Championship here at Alley 21.

Overall, the Hurricane boys were second in the SCOL standings with a 13-5 record. Hillsboro won the league title at 18-0.

The Lady Hurricane finished fourth with a 7-11 mark, according to coach Joe Davis.

Ryan Hottinger and Sawyer Kratzer were first-team All-SCOL. Hottinger had a 214 average while Kratzer came in at 206. Katie Hottinger was second team All-SCOL for the girls with a 166 average.

In the league tournament, Kratzer finished with a 584 series while Ryan Hottinger had a 576. Josh Cordy shot 546 and Zack Zeckser bowled 530. Tristan Reiley had a 500.

On the girls side, Hanna Lunsford had games of 190, 171, 152 for a 513 series. Sarah Waln had a 189 game in with 489 series. Katie Hottinger had a 465 series with games of 164 and 163.
