The Blanchester seventh grade girls basketball team lost to Mt. Orab 28-18 in the first round of the Southern Buckeye Conference tournament.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better group of girls to coach for my first year,” said Blanchester coach Bella Cook. “They really made it enjoyable. I’m very proud of how far they have come and the effort they put in.”

Lana Roy had seven points, five rebounds, three steals and a block. Casey Kingsland had five points, two rebounds and a steal.

Caili Baumann, Brinli Crosley and Noelani Tangonan had two points each. Baumann had six rebounds while Crosley had five rebounds and a blocked shot. Tangonan had two rebounds.

Maddie Wells had eight rebounds, five on the offensive end, while Becca Kratzer had three rebounds. Maddie Pohlman came up with a steal for Blanchester.
