WHS boys, girls split with CM, GV at Royal Z

The Wilmington High School boys and girls bowling teams split matches with Greeneview and Clinton-Massie Friday at Royal Z Lanes.

The three schools share Royal Z Lanes as their home venue during the season.

Wilmington lost to Clinton-Massie and defeated Greeneview in both matches.

For the girls, WHS had 1,707 while Massie had 1,767.

Sarah Waln led Wilmington with games of 189 and 156. Katie Hottinger had 187 and 157. Chasity Asher had a 167 game.

On the girls reserve side, Rhyann Greene had a personal best 143 then broke that with a 147 game for a personal best 290 series, coach Joe Davis said.

For the Hurricane boys, Sawyer Kratzer had a 421 series (216, 205) while Ryan Hottinger had a 406 (226, 180). Josh Cordy had 254 game en route to a 391 series.

For the JV boys, Heath Fetter had a personal best game of 190 and a 354 series.
