East Clinton JV unbeaten against National Division rivals

BLANCHESTER — The East Clinton junior varsity volleyball team moved to 9-0 against teams in the SBAAC National Division with a 25-18, 16-25, 25-23 win over Blanchester Thursday.

Coach Bob Malone said the team has a tough remaining schedule with three matches against National rivals and good non-league foes.

Trinity Bain had seven digs and five perfect passes for East Clinton. Eryn Bowman had three aces, four kills, two digs and three perfect passes. Jordan Collom had two aces, two kills, 11 assists and six digs. Jozie Jones had an ace, two kills and a block assist.

Aubrie Simpson had three digs and two perfect passes. Savannah Tolle had an ace, an assist, 14 digs and nine perfect passes. Lauren Runyon had an ace, five kills, a dig and a perfect pass. Megan Tong had an ace, three kills, four assists, two digs and two perfect passes.

Bryston Roach had a kill and a dig. Cadence Howard contributed two good serves and four good passes. Jenna Stanley had a kill. Regan Walker had an ace. Lauren Stonewall recorded three aces, a kill, two assists, a block assist and the game-winning block to win the match, Malone said.
