Blan JH boys track, field runnersup at Mt. Orab

MT. ORAB — The Blanchester Junior High School boys track and field team finished as runnersup Wednesday at the Mt. Orab Middle School meet.

Mt. Orab won the meet with 132 points while Blanchester followed with 125. Eastern Brown, Hamersville and Glen Este also participated in the meet.

Jake Newman won the high jump and was fourth in the 110-meter hurdles.

Hunter Browning won the 1,600-meter run and was runnerup in the 800-meter run. Tanner Creager won the 800 and was runnerup in the 1,600. Creager and Browning then teamed with Kaden Berwanger and Blake Richard to win the 4×400-meter relay.

Brady Phillips was second in the 200 and fifth in the long jump. Shane Smith was runnerup in the 110 hurdles. Carter Stevens was fifth in the 110 hurdles and sixth in the 200 hurdles. Brayden Roy was second in the long jump.

Johnny Schirmer was fourth in the high jump, sixth in the long jump and fifth in the 100-meter dash. Hunter Bare was fourth in the shot put and fourth in the discus. Kaleb Goodin was fifth in the discus. Berwanger was third and Richard fourth in the 400-meter dash.

Phillips, Richard, Smith and Carter Stevens were second in the 4×100-meter relay. Goodin, Andrew Frump, Matthew O’Neill and Jonathan Trivett were fourth in the 4×200-meter relay.
